Claremont Garden Renovation

Screen-Shot-2013-05-31-at-3.24.36-PMThe Brief: This established residence had been beautifully renovated inside and needed an outdoor area to match. The outdoor spaces of this classic Mediterranean style garden required a makeover. The clients wanted to replace the old brick paving from around the existing pool and replace with stylish limestone paving. Old plants and pots were replaced with new plantings of Japanese Box, Murraya and Dwarf Magnolia to screen the rear boundary wall. An unused lawn area was replaced with stone mulch and waterwise groundcovers to reduce maintenance. Brick walls and pillars were softened with climbers such as Wisteria, Dipladenia and Chinese Star Jasmine.

Client Response: We were very happy with Jenny’s efforts to re-create our established garden. She listened to our initial ideas and did her own comprehensive research in designing a complete makeover. She kept some of our good plants but came up with a beautiful design of new plants. Her attention to detail was extremely useful in not only preparing planting plans but also preparing other drawings for use by the landscaper relating to paving, reticulation and lighting. Following the production of drawings she was helpful in choosing a landscaper gardener to implement the work, and then supportive in follow-up supervision. Post the makeover Jenny has been willing, on a number of occasions, to provide further advice on garden maintenance and any replacement requirements. Jenny’s efforts surpassed our expectations. Everything she does is first class and fully professional. Nothing is too much trouble. She works like she is a close friend.
